// process
From molecule to your door.
Every Pepmod batch passes through the same seven-stage workflow. No shortcuts at any stage, no exceptions when a test fails, no shipped vial that does not trace back to a published certificate of analysis.
// 01
stage 1 of 7
Source
The raw molecule.
Pepmod sources lyophilized peptides from solid-phase peptide synthesis facilities that operate to cGMP-aligned standards. We audit each supplier on synthesis protocols, raw-material traceability, and prior-batch COA history before placing first orders. Cost is never the deciding factor.
// 02
stage 2 of 7
Verify
Identity at intake.
Every incoming batch is independently mass-spec verified before we accept delivery. Observed molecular weight must match the theoretical m/z within tight tolerance. Identity is the first checkpoint; nothing proceeds until it passes.
Identity outside spec → batch rejected and returned to supplier.
// 03
stage 3 of 7
Test
Purity, endotoxin, sterility.
Three independent assays. Reverse-phase HPLC for purity (floor: 98% with no significant truncations or related impurities). LAL for bacterial endotoxin against pharmacopeial limits. USP <71> for sterility - 14-day incubation in two growth media. All three must pass for the batch to proceed.
Any of the three assays misses spec → batch rejected, no exceptions.
// 04
stage 4 of 7
Fill
Sterile lyophilization, sealed.
Vials are filled under sterile conditions, lyophilized for stability, then sealed with an aluminum crimp top. Each vial gets a printed label with peptide identity, dose, and a lot number that ties directly to the batch certificate of analysis. No vial leaves fill without complete lot traceability.
// 05
stage 5 of 7
Store
Cold chain, monitored.
Vials are stored at 2-8°C in temperature-monitored cold storage until order. Long-term inventory holds at -20°C. Temperature logs are part of the chain-of-custody record; stock that has fallen outside specification for any meaningful period is removed from inventory.
// 06
stage 6 of 7
Pack & ship
Tamper-evident, tracked.
Orders are hand-checked against the packing slip, sealed in tamper-evident outer mailers, insulated with cold packs where seasonal weather requires it, and dispatched via USPS Priority. Tracking is emailed at fulfillment. Most orders ship within one business day of payment confirmation.
// 07
stage 7 of 7
Stand behind
Replacement, lookup, real support.
Every shipment carries a 14-day replacement window for damaged, wrong, missing, or defective items. Every lot number resolves to its published COA. Every support email goes to a real person who responds within one business day. The product is sold for research use only - the support is real.
// non-negotiables
Three things we never trade off.
A failed test means a rejected batch.
If purity, identity, sterility, or endotoxin misses specification, the batch is returned. We hold inventory before we ship something we cannot stand behind.
Every lot is traceable, end to end.
The number on your vial ties to a specific batch, a specific certificate of analysis, a specific synthesis run. Lookups are accessible on the transparency page.
Research-use positioning is real.
This is not a marketing hedge. Products are sold for laboratory research only, the acknowledgements at checkout are recorded with timestamps and IPs, and the entire workflow above is designed to support that classification. We do not medicalize the product because we are not medicalizing the product.
